Do I have to pay before seeing if my edit works?+
You can open, manually edit, format, and preview your PDF for free. Finished-file downloads require access through a pass, subscription, or subscription trial. Ask Papi requires sign-in and uses AI credits; a verified free account receives 20 introductory credits once.
Where do my files go?+
Editing and conversion run in your browser. PDFs opened in the editor are also saved to your account, or to a temporary guest session for 24 hours after your last save. Finished paid outputs may be kept for up to 30 days for recovery. If you use Ask Papi, its provider receives your prompt and the document text or images needed for your request. The original PDF file is not sent to the provider.
How does the 3-day free trial work?+
The 3-day trial gives you immediate, unlimited finished-file downloads, including PDFs, images, or ZIP downloads from included tools. Ask Papi uses the same one-time 20 introductory credits as your verified free account, with no extra trial grant. Paid subscription credits begin after payment is confirmed. You will be charged $0 today. If you cancel during the trial through the self-service billing portal, you will not be charged for the subscription.
What is the One-Time purchase option?+
For $4.99, the 3-Day Pass lets you download finished files, including PDFs, images, or ZIP downloads, for 3 days and includes 150 Ask Papi credits that expire with the pass. Completed paid outputs remain available for recovery for 30 days. There is no recurring subscription and no automatic renewal.
How do Ask Papi credits work?+
Credits measure AI consumption, not a fixed number of edits. Monthly Pro ($15/month) and Annual Pro ($120/year) each include 2,000 credits per paid subscription month. Annual credits replenish monthly, not all upfront. Subscription credits do not roll over, and there are no automatic overage charges. Introductory credits have no time expiry or refill. If credits run out, you keep manual editing, your documents, history, and any already-paid download access.
How do I cancel my subscription?+
You can manage or cancel through the self-service Customer Portal from your Account dashboard or at /billing.
